Full Job Description

Bayside Engineering and Tool, a subsidiary of Motor City Stamping, Inc. provides design, engineering and prototype services. We are looking to expand our workforce!

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist with 2D and 2D programming experience. Must be knowledgeable of tool and die set-up and detail machining. Candidates must be familiar with Master Cam software and Fanuc controllers. Close tolerance machining is expected. Wire EDM experience is a PLUS. Clean working conditions. Duties:

- 2d/3d Program in Master-CAM Software, setup and Operate CNC machines with Fanuc controllers.
- Machine tool & die details to CAD data and to print with minimum supervision
- Perform quality control checks to ensure parts meet required standards - Work with other employees as a cohesive team
- Handle materials and tools safely and efficiently - Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator or similar role
- Proficient in programming CNC machines for tools & die applications
- Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures
- Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery safely and work with close tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

Note: Experience in a tool & die shop environment a plus.

Qualifications

- Basic blueprint reading and GD&T.

High level experience in contour and manual machining: knowledge of clamping and cutting techniques; thorough understanding of speeds and feeds; understand material properties and be able to match equipment and techniques to various materials.
Able to use basic inspection equipment. (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges)
Knowledge of Master cam preferred
Mechanical aptitude a plus

Must have own tools

Must have own transportation

Hours Monday - FRiday 5am - 430pm Saturday 5am - 11am as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
