Job Overview - Full Time 30Hr/week
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and foster a thriving, compliant, and engaged workforce. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, LOA management and organizational development. Your energetic leadership will drive workforce excellence, support change management processes, and ensure our HR practices align with legal standards and organizational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our company culture and enhance employee experience through innovative HR strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for open positions.
Post job openings and manage applicant tracking.
Schedule interviews and coordinate the hiring process.
Conduct reference and background checks.
Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation.
Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.

Employee Records & HR Administration

Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS records.
Process employment status changes, promotions, transfers, and separations.
Prepare employment verification letters and other HR documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
Ensure required employment records are complete and current.

Benefits Administration

Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and COBRA.
Process benefit enrollments and qualifying life events.
Respond to employee questions regarding benefit programs.
Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
Work with benefit vendors to resolve routine issues.

Employee Relations

Serve as a resource for employees regarding company policies and procedures.
Provide guidance to supervisors on routine employee relations matters.
Assist with disciplinary documentation and performance improvement plans.
Support investigations under the direction of senior leadership when necessary.
Promote a respectful and positive work environment.

Performance Management

Coordinate the annual performance evaluation process.
Maintain performance review records.
Assist supervisors with documentation and performance discussions.
Track completion of evaluations and follow-up actions.

Compliance

Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintain I-9 documentation and personnel records.
Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.
Coordinate required labor law postings and employee notices.
Maintain employee handbook acknowledgments and policy documentation.

Leave Administration

Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, and paid sick leave.
Coordinate return-to-work documentation.
Maintain leave records and communicate with employees throughout the leave process.

Workers' Compensation

Coordinate workers' compensation claims with employees, supervisors, and insurance carriers.
Maintain claim documentation.
Monitor return-to-work status and required paperwork.

Training & Employee Development

Coordinate required compliance training.
Maintain training records.
Schedule employee development opportunities.
Assist departments with training logistics.

General HR Support

Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
Prepare HR reports as requested.
Recommend improvements to HR processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
