Full Job Description

CareMed Clinic is a fast paced, expanding Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Weight Loss clinic with hard working medical staff. We are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist who strives to provide exceptional patient care and has good time management skills.

This is a part-time position, requiring evening hours and every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) availability.

Operating Hours

Mon-Fri 8-7

Sat-Sun 8-4

Flexible hours required.

Typically working 15-20 hours per week.

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, greeting and checking in all patients for office appointments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate staff when needed

· Process telephone messages

· Process faxes, lab results, and documents accordingly to the correct office staff

· Maintain confidentiality of patient records

· Check in patient, update patient’s chart, and update computer information

· Answer EHR messages from office staff

· Perform other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols

· Maintain work area and lobby

· Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times

· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management

· Effectively cope with typical job stress

· Document work processes as required

· When new patients arrive, present registration packet and notify intake personnel patient has arrived

· Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma/GED

· Medical Office Assistant Certification (preferred)

SKILLS:

· Medical Terminology

· Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

· Scheduling and planning

· Time management
