Full Job Description

<Job Overview>
Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join the legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of legal practices, including ; estate planning; probate administration and litigation; business formation, governance, and litigation; and the emerging field of psychedelic law. As a vital member of the firm, you will manage case files, conduct legal research, draft documents, and coordinate with clients and the legal team to ensure smooth case progression. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help deliver exceptional legal services while maintaining efficiency and accuracy across all cases. This paid position is ideal for someone passionate about the law and eager to grow their legal administrative expertise.

<Duties>

Assist legal team with case management across multiple practice areas by organizing and maintaining case files using document management systems such as Clio and LexisNexis.
Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case development in areas including but not limited to those outlined above.
Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
Manage document review processes for litigation cases by analyzing large volumes of data for relevance and accuracy.
Coordinate client interviews through effective interviewing techniques to gather pertinent case information while maintaining confidentiality.
Support project management initiatives by tracking deadlines, court dates, filings, and follow-ups to ensure timely submissions.
Utilize legal administrative tools like Clio Manage and Clio Accounting for billing and time tracking; maintain accurate records of billable hours.
Prepare reports and summaries that synthesize complex legal information clearly for attorneys’ review.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing (both physical and electronic), phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence efficiently.
Support the firm’s compliance with various laws and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information while adhering to firm policies and legal standards.

<Experience>

Proven paralegal , estate planning, probate, trust administration, and business litigation.
Strong knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with document and case management systems like Clio is highly desirable.
Familiarity with legal case management software such as Clio; ability to handle data entry accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to draft clear legal documents with excellent proofreading skills; experience in legal writing is essential.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Excellent interviewing skills to gather detailed client information effectively.
Strong clerical background with services, document review processes, and administrative support functions.
Knowledge of various practice areas including workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant issues, tribal regulations or patent procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to collaborate well within a team environment.
