Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement (CE) Coordinator to energize and strengthen our Teen Programming initiatives. Under the direction of the Assistant Community Engagement Director, Programs & Outreach, the CE Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of a range of teen programming initiatives, including but not limited to: 1) Coordination and support of the BBYO program in San Diego County, 2) Participation and coordination of the JCC's Maccabi Games and related activities, and 3) Coordination of the Israel Trip program as part of the CITI grant. This role works closely with and receives day-to-day guidance from the CE Manager, Teen Programming & Volunteerism, and collaborates across JCC departments to support the effective delivery of teen programming.

Responsibilities

Support the growth, engagement, and leadership development of local BBYO chapters and teen programs.
Build strong relationships with teens, families, volunteers, and community partners through ongoing communication and engagement.
Coordinate and facilitate leadership programs, community service initiatives, special events, conferences, and regional teen experiences.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and support of chapter coordinators, coaches, volunteers, and delegation staff.
Serve as a representative of the JCC at BBYO, Maccabi, and community meetings, events, and conferences.
Support planning and execution of the JCC Maccabi Games, including participant recruitment, team-building activities, travel logistics, and family communications.
Assist with the development, marketing, recruitment, and implementation of teen travel experiences, including Israel programs and college exploration opportunities.
Coordinate program logistics, registrations, database management, reporting, and grant compliance requirements.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to promote teen programs and increase participation.
Monitor program outcomes, collect participant feedback, and support continuous program improvement.
Assist with budget tracking, financial reporting, and administrative functions related to teen programming.
Collaborate with internal departments, community organizations, and regional partners to deliver high-quality teen engagement experiences.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
Ability to understand Jewish values and cultures within an organization, community, Israel, and the world.
Demonstrates sensitivity and ability to work within a diverse Jewish population.
Demonstrates commitment to good customer service.
Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people, staff and community.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage simultaneous, multiple projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong knowledge of program service and delivery.
Ability to work evenings and weekends will be required as needed.
CPR/AED/First Aid Certified within 6 months of being hired.
Current valid driver’s license or qualified to obtain.
Ability to pass a Federal, State and Livescan background check.
