The Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) with a proven track record leading high-volume, full-service restaurant operations.

More than an operator, the AGM is a standard-bearer — someone who believes deeply that exceptional service is not simply a function of procedure, but of genuine care for every guest who walks through the door.

Working closely with the General Manager, the AGM oversees planning, organizing, training, service execution, team leadership, and financial performance with precision and purpose. This role requires a strong understanding of restaurant systems, policies, procedures, company standards, and applicable state laws and regulations.

The AGM fosters a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment where team members are inspired to grow, take ownership, and deliver hospitality at the highest level. They understand that a motivated and well-developed team is the foundation of every memorable guest experience.

In partnership with the General Manager, the AGM helps drive revenue and profitability through operational discipline, strategic thinking, creative local initiatives, and an unwavering commitment to consistent, elevated service. The ideal candidate understands that great hospitality is also great business — and that the two are never in conflict.

To thrive in this role, the AGM must lead by example: present on the floor, connected to the guest, close to the team, and relentless in the pursuit of an experience that is not just satisfying, but genuinely memorable.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop the Team

Support the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of FOH and BOH teams.
Act as a role model and foster a positive, accountable, and hospitality-driven culture.
Lead pre-shift meetings and maintain clear, consistent team communication.
Coach team members in service standards, guest engagement, and operational execution.
Support employee growth by providing feedback, guidance, and development opportunities.

Drive Operational Excellence

Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service execution.
Maintain high standards of food quality, service, ambiance, cleanliness, and safety.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable state and local regulations.
Support scheduling, staffing, labor planning, and proper allocation of resources.
Identify opportunities to improve systems, service flow, efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.

Support Business Performance

Assist the General Manager in managing labor, COGS, operating expenses, and overall profitability.
Analyze P&L, sales trends, cost controls, and key performance metrics.
Support inventory management, purchasing, vendor coordination, and expense control.
Help execute strategies that drive revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational consistency.
Contribute to marketing initiatives, events, promotions, and local business-building efforts.

Elevate the Guest Experience

Be present on the floor and actively engage with guests throughout service.
Ensure every guest interaction reflects warmth, care, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Address guest feedback with urgency, ownership, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Hold the team accountable to elevated service standards and consistent execution.
Build strong relationships with guests and support the restaurant’s presence within the local community.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience as an Assistant General Manager, General Manager, or senior restaurant leader in a full-service restaurant environment.
Demonstrated experience managing labor, cost controls, and P&L performance.
Experience leading large FOH and BOH teams in a high-volume operation.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager, General Manager, or comparable senior restaurant leadership role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment.
Experience managing restaurants with annual sales volumes of $5M+ strongly preferred.
Experience leading teams of 50+ employees across FOH and BOH operations strongly preferred.
Strong leadership experience across FOH and BOH operations.
Experience supporting P&L management, cost control, labor management, and operational performance.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Hands-on, energetic, service-oriented leadership style.
Strong understanding of guest experience, service standards, and restaurant operations.
Ability to balance hospitality, people leadership, financial awareness, and operational discipline.
A genuine passion for hospitality, team development, and creating memorable guest experiences.
