Weekend Caregiver Job Description Position

Weekend Geriatric Caregiver / Home Care Assistant

Schedule & Pay

Saturday & Sunday
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
$18.00 per hour (preferred rate)
1099 independent contractor
Paid every Friday
If a scheduled shift needs to be canceled, at least 24 hours’ advance notice is required, except in genuine emergencies.

Responsibilities

The caregiver will provide hands-on care and assistance for a grandmother weighing approximately 180 Lbs, including:

Safely operate and use a patient lift.
Independently transfer her from bed to chair using proper safety procedures.
Take and document vital signs at the beginning and end of each shift.
Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
Assist with grooming and daily personal care needs.
Assist with feeding and meals.
Provide general hands-on support and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Follow all safety procedures when assisting with transfers and mobility.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience caring for geriatric patients.
Must be experienced and comfortable working with a patient weighing approximately 250 pounds.
Must be able to independently perform bed-to-chair transfers.
Must know how to safely operate a patient lift.
Must be capable of providing bathing, grooming, feeding, and personal-care assistance independently.
Must be reliable, punctual, patient, compassionate, and comfortable providing hands-on care.
Ability to accurately take and document vital signs.

Employment Type

This is a 1099 independent contractor position for weekend caregiving. Applicants should be comfortable working independently and performing the required duties safely and reliably.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
