Full Job Description

MECHANICAL ENGINEER I

A Mechanical Engineer with 1-2 years of experience is needed for our West Chester, OH facility. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the industrial automation industry. This role will enable you to perfect your machine design skills to concept and detail custom industrial automation systems. The Mechanical Engineer provides solutions for development of processes and automation products ranging from small components or tooling designs to extremely large machinery and robotic cell layout designs. What You’ll Do:

Select critical components, create top-level assemblies and product architecture.
Design and engineer automation tooling and fixtures from concept to detail.
Confer with management and other engineers to present system tooling, components, technical information, and 3D system concept drawings for customer proposals.
Participate in formal and informal design review meetings between electrical engineering, programmers, and the fabrication & assembly team.
Work with Sales, engineers, and project managers to design robotic system tooling and fixtures to meet customer specifications.
Assist with safety risk assessments for robot cells in accordance with ANSI R15.06 standards: identify possible hazards and determine risk reduction requirements, suggest solutions, and validate.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline OR Associates engineering degree with 3 years of related experience.
1-2 years of experience in machine and/or tooling design.

Skills You’ll Have:

Advanced knowledge of mechanical design software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
Machine and tooling design skills
Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic system design.
Technical competency in industrial automation/ robotics (robots/ controls/ vision/ tooling/ welders, etc.).
Understanding of A3/RIA Safety Standards, OSHA Safety Standards, and NFPA 79 Standard a plus.

Other Details:

Infrequent travel to customer sites
Ability to conform to shifting priorities and demands.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Proficient in Microsoft O365 software applications, including MS Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, etc.
Requires US Citizenship (ITAR Compliance).
