Company Overview

We are an established, physician-led dermatology group in the Cincinnati area providing both medical dermatology and cosmetic/aesthetic dermatology services. Our practices combine comprehensive medical dermatologic care with advanced cosmetic treatments, laser technology, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, hair restoration, and other aesthetic services.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and energetic Social Media & Digital Content Specialist to manage and grow our existing digital presence across both the medical and aesthetic sides of our practice.

Job Overview

This is an in-person position with a strong emphasis on original content creation, photography, video, patient education, and digital engagement.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a medical practice, filming physicians and providers, capturing treatments and office activities, creating educational dermatology content, editing short-form videos, and managing content across multiple digital platforms.

Our social media and digital accounts are already established. The focus of this position is to manage, improve, grow, and consistently create content for our existing platforms.

This is not simply a posting-and-scheduling position. We are looking for someone who can proactively identify content opportunities, capture original material, create compelling campaigns, analyze performance, and help strengthen awareness and patient engagement for both our medical dermatology and cosmetic/aesthetic services.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow our existing Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant social media accounts.
Develop content strategies for both medical dermatology and cosmetic/aesthetic dermatology.
Regularly work on-site to film and photograph physicians, providers, treatments, technology, office activities, events, educational content, and other appropriate practice content.
Create and edit Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, Stories, educational videos, provider Q&As, treatment videos, before-and-after presentations, and other short-form content.
Develop patient-friendly educational content around medical dermatology topics such as skin conditions, prevention, skin checks, common patient questions, and treatment education.
Develop engaging content around cosmetic procedures, lasers, injectables, skin rejuvenation, body treatments, hair restoration, and other aesthetic services offered by the practice.
Help physicians and providers become comfortable on camera and assist in planning and directing educational videos and Q&A content.
Develop and maintain a consistent monthly content calendar covering both sides of the practice.
Write professional, engaging captions, educational copy, hooks, headlines, and calls to action.
Repurpose high-performing content appropriately across different platforms.
Manage Google Business Profile posts, updates, events, and photos/videos for the practice locations.
Manage LinkedIn content highlighting physician/provider expertise, medical education, practice news, accomplishments, technology, awards, events, hiring, community involvement, and other professional updates.
Create and send email blasts, newsletters, promotions, educational campaigns, event announcements, provider updates, seasonal campaigns, and patient re-engagement communications.
Maintain an organized email marketing and digital content calendar.
Capture and organize before-and-after photos and patient testimonials when appropriately authorized.
Maintain an organized digital library of approved photos, videos, before-and-after images, testimonials, graphics, and reusable content.
Monitor comments and messages and route appointment or patient-care inquiries to the appropriate team member.
Monitor current social media trends and identify those appropriate for a professional medical practice.
Monitor competing dermatology, aesthetic, plastic surgery, and med-spa accounts for trends and content opportunities.
Coordinate with our website/SEO and AI/GEO marketing efforts so patient questions and trending topics can be turned into videos, posts, emails, and educational content.
Assist with legitimate patient review-generation and reputation-building initiatives while following healthcare and platform requirements.
Track performance, including reach, engagement, video views, website clicks, inquiries, email engagement, and other meaningful metrics.
Provide a concise monthly report identifying successful content and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in social media management and/or digital content creation, with strong skills in short-form video, photography, editing, writing, and digital marketing.

Experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Canva, CapCut, Adobe products, email marketing platforms, or similar tools is preferred.

The ideal candidate should be creative, proactive, organized, comfortable directing people on camera, and able to work independently.

Experience in healthcare, dermatology, aesthetics, plastic surgery, med spa, beauty, wellness, or another professional service environment is strongly preferred.

In-Person Requirement

This is an in-person position, not a fully remote social media role. Regular on-site presence is essential because a significant part of the position involves capturing original photo and video content involving our physicians, providers, treatments, technology, events, and practice environment.

Some editing, scheduling, reporting, or administrative content work may be completed remotely when appropriate and approved.

Healthcare & Patient Privacy

Because we are a medical practice, professionalism, accuracy, patient privacy, and HIPAA compliance are extremely important.

Patient photos, videos, testimonials, before-and-after images, or identifiable information may be captured or published only with appropriate authorization and in accordance with practice policies.

Medical educational content and clinical claims must be accurate and should be reviewed by the appropriate physician or provider when necessary.

We want someone who is creative and proactive—not someone who simply waits to be told what to post.

The right candidate will consistently bring new ideas, identify opportunities across both medical and cosmetic dermatology, work comfortably with our physicians and providers, capture compelling original content, and use performance data to continuously improve our digital presence.

Portfolio Required

Please include examples or links to social media accounts, Reels, TikToks, YouTube videos, photography, graphics, email campaigns, or other digital content you have personally created or managed.

Candidates who demonstrate strong original video and social media content creation will receive priority consideration.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
