Full Job Description

Cornerstone Controls, Inc. is a provider of Automation, Control and Reliability products and services. We are 1 of 18 Emerson Impact Partners in North America. We are an Employee-Owned Stock Plan (ESOP) company and have been in business for 90 years. We work with industrial manufacturing clients in areas such as metals & mining, pulp & paper, commercial power, life science, chemical and refining.

The Sales Associate (SA) is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients. The SA works closely with our Inside Sales group on processing customer orders, procuring product to fulfill those orders when needed, and following through to ensure timely delivery. This involves troubleshooting issues throughout the process (i.e. supply and delivery issues with our suppliers, invoicing issues with accounting, and coordination with our warehouse). This includes hands-on working knowledge of our IFS business system which drives our end-to-end process. Due to the highly collaborative and complex nature of the role, this position is office-based through training with an opportunity to shift to hybrid with management approval.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage own workflow to ensure orders are prioritized and entered in a timely and accurate manner to ensure customer expectations are met.

· As needed, escalate order entry and customer service issues, including escalation with our suppliers.

· Work with other teams that interact with order entry such as Accounting for new customer set up, credit/rebill, and customer/supplier questions around customer orders and purchase orders.

· Process customer orders from personal queue, as well as team queue.

· Process purchase orders to procure products needed, to fulfill customer orders when needed, from multiple suppliers.

· Manage / prioritize customer order/purchase order expediting to meet customers’ delivery expectations.

· Communicate with internal and external customers via written and/or verbal communication.

· Work with customer service contacts at multiple supplier factory locations on order issues.

· Monitor shared Outlook Inbox along with the rest of the team.

· Work with Inside Sales on potential order issues/delays.

· Office administrative functions as necessary such as answering phones and managing office visitors (check in at the front desk, coordination of meals, preparation of conference rooms).

Requirements:

· Some college or equivalent applicable job experience

· Proven organizational skills and multitasking abilities

· Excellent people and communication skills

· Collaborative team player

· Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills

· Previous experience working with business operations software.

Preferred Requirements:

· Previous experience working with IFS software is a plus

· 2-4 years of previous experience working directly with customers, purchasing, accounting, and vendors.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
