About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, adjust machine settings, and ensure optimal machine performance. Your expertise will contribute to the delivery of high-quality components that meet exact specifications.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machine tools to perform diversified and difficult operations, maintaining close tolerances on products with various dimensions and unusual contours.
Read and interpret blueprints and other written and verbal specifications to machine parts accurately.
Select, align, and inspect cutting tools to ensure sharpness and usability.
Adjust machine controls and programming to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, making necessary adjustments.
Clean and maintain machines, tooling, and parts to ensure equipment is in optimal production condition.
Maintain and edit CNC programs to fine-tune processes for optimum performance.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining operations.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical plans.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent mechanical aptitude.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to set up, program, and operate CNC equipment, such as CNC VTL, CNC horizontal mill, CNC vertical mill, and CNC horizontal lathes.

Preferred Skills

Completion of a vocational training course.
Demonstrates personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to read measuring instruments and maintain machinery and equipment in the machine trade.
