Full Job Description

American Woodworking Inc., located in Amelia, Ohio, is a Commercial Custom Millwork Fabricator specializing in the Hospitality market. We are currently looking for an Architectural CAD Draftsperson to produce in house millwork shop drawings. The CAD drafter will work closely with our Project Engineer, Project Managers, and Production Manager, to determine the build and engineering of each system.

Our work is schedule driven. The qualified candidate must have a strong work ethic and be able to manage their time and multiple priorities effectively while working in a collaborative team environment. The ability to find solutions through positive attitude, taking direction and flexibility is essential.

Responsibilities:

Production of full set of Shop Drawing submittals from Architectural Construction Documents and field dimensions
Extensive research of materials required to complete shop drawings
Manages timelines and has the ability to meet deadlines as committed
Coordination with management team which includes the Project Managers, Project Engineer, and Production Shop Manager

Requirements/Qualifications:

Computer literate; must be proficient in AutoCAD, Word and Excel.
Ability to use on screen take off software (Blue Beam)
Experience in Fusion 360 Software a huge plus. Knowledge/experience with CNC programing also a huge plus.
Industry experience in specialty construction, custom fabrication and custom millwork a strength
An understanding of architectural blueprints, including how to read 2-dimensional drawings (plans, elevations, sections and details) along with specifications and other related documents is preferred. Ability to see 3-dimensional and do isometric renderings are also a plus.
Demonstrates an understanding of how custom cabinet systems are engineered and fabricated.
Must have high attention to detail; is focused, meticulous and accurate.
Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects at one time.

Job Type/Salary:

Full-time. Benefits package includes medical (thru the open market; company provides a percentage of the monthly premium), dental, vision and life insurance optional; PTO and paid holidays. Salary, TBD. Range is $20-$24.00/hour depending on experience.

Experience:

Industry experience in Cabinet making Millwork fabrication: 5 years (recommended but not required)
CAD Drafter: 2-3 years (knowledge of Fusion 360 recommended but not required)
