Job Summary
Eaton Road Church of God is seeking a passionate and dynamic Worship Ministry Leader to inspire and lead our congregation’s worship experiences. This position is vital in cultivating an atmosphere of spiritual connection through music, teaching, and leadership. The Worship Ministry Leader will oversee the musical and spiritual direction of worship services, manage worship teams, and recruit and mentor volunteers to create a vibrant, engaging worship environment that encourages spiritual growth and faith expression.
The Worship Ministry Leader position is a part-time position that focuses on planning, preparing, and leading a quality worship experience that glorifies God and builds up the church.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Clear testimony of a life that has trusted in and is walking with Jesus Christ
· Ability to lead people into a worship experience that facilitates spiritual connection
· Committed to a team approach in leading worship
· Experience in planning, preparing, and leading worship services
· Agrees with Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) beliefs
ABILITIES
· Quality singing voice and strong leadership demonstration in front of the congregation
· Skilled in vocal and instrumental direction with the ability to sing and teach harmony
· Able to read music (Worship Charts and Lead Sheets)
· Can proficiently play an instrument or sing as a team member
· A strong ability to direct and lead a modern worship band
· Has experience with the use of technology in worship such as lighting, sound systems, video projection, worship software (Planning Center, Pro Presenter, CCLI)
· Team player with good relational skills and a positive attitude
· Self-starter who strives for quality
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the congregation in worship and direct the flow and elements of the service
· Develop a weekly order of service in coordination with the senior pastor
· Direct a weekly rehearsal with the worship team that prepares for quality services
· Combine new and old music to be introduced to the congregation under the guidance of the Holy Spirit while also being willing to listen to input from other team members
· Recruit and/or develop new musicians, singers, and tech team members
· Order and purchase items needed within the budget for a quality worship experience
· Organize services for special events and holidays in coordination with the senior pastor
· Engage in the body of the church as an active member by seeking to make connections within the church body and also support the vision, mission, and leaders of the church
COMPENSATION
· This is a part-time position for 10-12 hours per week. The compensation is $20.00/hour. The position and pay are based on quality completion of the assigned responsibilities.
