Full Job Description

Job Summary

Queen City Mechanicals is a commercial/industrial union plumbing and union utility contractor, with over 40 years of industry experience operating within the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Area. We are actively seeking an experienced individual to not only maintain our presence in the civil market, but to foster continued growth by filling the vacancy for the Civil Estimator Position. The position requirements are:

Actively monitor bid advertisement sites
Utilize project documents, including plans, specifications, and all other supporting documentation to generate a project bid
Complete bid forms and write proposals
Price change orders
Provide internal support for project field staff
Development, preservation, and improvement of the relationship with the customer

Experience required:

Proven work history associated with the management and/or estimating of underground utility work
Knowledge of local specifications
Ability to read plans and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required
Proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid or similar estimating software is required

Individual must be able to demonstrate that he/she possess the following skills:

Proficient written and oral communication skills
Strong organization skills and detail orientation
Self-management skills and ability to work with limited supervision
Ambition to accomplish current and long-term goals
Excellent problem-solving skills
Forward and creative thinker
