Full Job Description

We are a two-attorney personal injury firm that does work in Ohio and Kentucky. Our office is in Cincinnati, OH. We offer free parking. As a legal assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the daily operations, including but not limited to answering telephones, corresponding with clients/insurance companies, document requests and review, and assisting in litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have personal injury experience, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, strong analytic skills, and comfort with operating in a fast-paced environment. We are looking to hire within the next 2-4 weeks. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Initial client intake process

· Creating & maintaining client files

· Meeting and communicating with clients

· Opening claims with insurance companies and health insurance carriers

· Answering telephone calls

· Requesting and reviewing medical records and medical bills from various providers

· Drafting correspondence to insurance companies, including letters of representation and insurance demand packets.

· Reviewing and preparing special damages summaries

· Drafting & assisting in preparing Complaints/discovery requests/discovery responses/mediation statements

· Obtaining outstanding lien verification and final closure letters from CMS, Medicaid, ERISA health plans, Veterans Administration, Etc.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
