We are hiring a Full-Time School-Based Physical Therapist to support students in the Inverness, Florida area.

This is an opportunity to combine meaningful pediatric care with greater schedule flexibility, built-in school breaks, strong clinical support, and the opportunity to help students develop the mobility and functional skills they need to participate more successfully at school.

Whether you are an experienced pediatric Physical Therapist or a new graduate interested in building a career in school-based therapy, you will receive the mentorship, collaboration, and support needed to grow with confidence.

What You Will Receive

Competitive school-year compensation based on an annualized salary range of $85,000 to $95,000
Full-time position following the school-year calendar

A school-based Physical Therapy career gives you the opportunity to make a long-term difference while maintaining greater balance outside of work.

Rather than managing a traditional year-round clinic schedule, you will work within the school calendar and support students directly within the environments where they learn, interact, and grow.

Your work may help a student:

Safely move throughout the school environment
Improve balance, coordination, strength, and mobility
Participate more independently in classroom and school activities
Access playgrounds, transportation, and other areas of the school
Build greater confidence in their physical abilities
Develop functional skills that support long-term independence

You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students, families, educators, and other therapy professionals while seeing the impact of your care extend beyond individual treatment sessions.

What You Will Do

As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will evaluate students and develop individualized therapy recommendations designed to improve functional participation within the educational environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Complete comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations
Identify mobility, positioning, accessibility, and functional needs
Develop individualized goals and treatment recommendations
Participate in Individualized Education Program meetings
Contribute clinical recommendations to student IEPs
Provide individualized school-based Physical Therapy services
Collaborate with teachers, families, school staff, and other therapy professionals
Recommend equipment, environmental modifications, and supportive strategies when appropriate
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on functional outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Educate school teams on strategies that support student mobility and participation
Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants
Help ensure high-quality, coordinated therapy services across assigned schools

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Physical Therapist who is compassionate, organized, collaborative, and motivated by the opportunity to help children succeed.

The ideal candidate will have:

Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current or eligible Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist license
Interest in pediatric or school-based Physical Therapy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to complete evaluations and contribute to individualized educational planning
Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
Ability to supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants
Commitment to providing individualized, student-centered care

Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred but not required.

New graduate Physical Therapists are welcome and encouraged to apply.
