Dealership Accountant – Lumin Folsom Mitsubishi

Looking for a stable career with a growing dealership where your work directly contributes to the success of the business?

Lumin Folsom Mitsubishi is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Dealership Accountant to join our team. This position plays an important role in keeping our dealership operations running smoothly by supporting accounting, financial reporting, and administrative processes across multiple departments.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with numbers, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Process daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records
Reconcile bank accounts, schedules, and general ledger accounts
Review and post vehicle deals for accuracy and compliance
Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile manufacturer receivables, incentives, and warranty payments
Monitor inventory schedules and vehicle floorplan activity
Support payroll, commissions, and departmental reporting as needed
Work closely with sales, service, parts, and management teams to ensure accurate accounting processes
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with dealership policies and accounting standards

What We're Looking For

Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required
Automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
Understanding of dealership accounting principles and financial statements
Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
