Full Job Description

Project Coordinator 2 – Resource Planning

Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is seeking a Project Coordinator for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role, you will support engineering operations by coordinating project resources, workload planning, and capacity forecasting across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include facilitating project planning meetings, tracking resource availability, maintaining project schedules and reports, and partnering with technical teams to ensure projects are properly staffed and delivered efficiently.

Range: $40.25/hr., DOE

Location: Vancouver, Washington – Hybrid (at least 6-days per month onsite)

Key Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator:

Coordinate project tasks, resource assignments, and workload planning across multiple engineering and infrastructure projects.
Facilitate recurring meetings with project teams, resource managers, and stakeholders to gather project updates, monitor progress, and communicate resource needs.
Review work requests, evaluate project requirements, and coordinate resource availability to support project planning and execution.
Monitor project schedules, task completion, and workload forecasts, identifying scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and opportunities for improved efficiency.
Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to maintain accurate project schedules, resource plans, and workload forecasts.
Track project metrics and prepare reports, dashboards, and performance data to support leadership decision-making and operational planning.
Maintain project records, documentation, and SharePoint sites while ensuring data accuracy and consistency across multiple business systems.
Assist with process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow efficiencies, enhancing reporting, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Deliver training and guidance to internal users on project tracking tools, reporting processes, and resource planning procedures.
Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service and operational support.

Qualifications for the Project Coordinator:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience with an applicable bachelor's degree, 7+ years with an applicable associate's degree, or 9+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.
Experience supporting engineering operations, project coordination, resource planning, scheduling, or technical business operations.
Strong understanding of project support, resource management, workload planning, and engineering or technical operations.
Experience working with automated business systems, reporting tools, and project management platforms.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
Experience supporting engineering, utility, infrastructure, construction, or technical operations teams.
Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI, ProjectWise, or similar project tracking and reporting tools.
Experience facilitating meetings, coordinating cross-functional teams, and preparing operational reports and dashboards.
