Full Job Description

Overview:

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is excited to begin the search for a TES Administrative Support Associate(Fill-In). This role supports the Shelby County Extension team with administrative tasks and client assistance. Duties may include answering phone calls, assisting clients that come into the office, researching questions, performing data-entry work, and assisting with special projects including 4-H.

Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
Assistance with special projects
Seasonal work
Emergencies

Responsibilities:

Performs multiple duties which are a mix of administrative and clerical in nature, which may include but are not limited to filing, calendar management, event scheduling, answering phones, and social media maintenance.
Administers payroll processing, travel/expense voucher processing, and other financial tasks.
Advises staff, students, administrators, and clients of standard policies or procedures.
Acts as a point of contact to other departments, students, faculty, customers, and outside agencies/vendors on behalf of manager, director, or department head.
May prepare data or reports using a computer.
May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience OR
Associate’s degree OR
Bachelor’s degree

Scope of Experience: Experience in clerical or administrative support services.

Pay Range: USD $15.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
