Duties
● Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and precision ag equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
● Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery to maximize uptime.
● Utilize diagnostic tools for electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and engine diagnostics on diesel engines to identify issues accurately.
● Conduct fabrication tasks including welding, assembly, and modifications of equipment using hand tools and power tools to meet operational needs.
● Assist with equipment calibration, alignment, tire service, brake repair, and suspension adjustments to ensure safety and efficiency.
● Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting procedures for all machinery.
● Supporting farm operations by completing daily tasks to ensure efficient planting, spraying, and harvesting.
Qualifications
● Proven experience working with dealership or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) farm machinery or construction equipment servicing.
● Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
● Familiarity with farm machinery maintenance.
● Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery repairs such as hydraulic systems.
● Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment.
● Knowledge of air brake systems on trucks or trailers, tire service including mounting/dismounting tires.
● Capable of performing vehicle maintenance.
● Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
