SCHEDULE:
School-year position following the district calendar
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

2026-2027 School Year
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Paraeducator is responsible for assisting teachers, Itinerant staff and others in the support of instructional, health related, recreation and/or pre-vocational job training activities. The Paraeducator may be assigned to one classroom or to a variety of assignments depending on the needs of the students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of training techniques, behavior modification, and task analysis.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment when addressing challenges pending supervisory assistance.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with students, parents, community members, and colleagues.
- Ability to understand and work with children of all ages.
- Cooperative and effective oral and written communication skills, including active listening.
