General

Night Shift Position 2-2-3 Schedule

Manually loads a variety of materials into various recycling machines to meet established goals utilizing forklift/ pallet jack/ hand tools/ power tools into empty storage bins/boxes.
Maintain consistent feed of material into machine.
Assist Recycling operator when necessary.
Complete necessary paperwork throughout the shift. (Production Data, Whiteboard, PM Log, etc.)
Maintains a clean and organized work area, assisting with machine cleaning and operator PMs.
Inspect the quality of incoming materials at the machine and notify lead / supervisor of any non-conformities.
Follows process for verification of raw materials and ability to identify different types of scrap.
Properly label finished goods and stage material accordingly with forklift/ pallet jack.
Attends and participates in meetings at shift change, and month-end inventories when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Requirements

Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. safely.
Noise level in materials area at times can be loud and requires hearing protection.
Must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies including LOTO.
Day or night shift; rotating 12-hour shifts, resulting in 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week; every other weekend. Work is required on most holidays.
Adherence to GMP’s, SOP’s, and 6S requirements.

Requirements

Attention to detail and situational awareness.
Have a general understanding of work areas: Extrusion, Granulation, and Compounding.
Ability to perform basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Extrusion, shredding, grinding background a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal communications.
Attention to detail.
Effective and efficient time management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Obtain forklift license through Axjo training program to perform jobs as required.
Ability to use basic hand / power tools following safety guidelines.
