What You'll Do
As our Manufacturing Engineer, you'll serve as the critical connection between Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, and Operations. Your work ensures engineering requirements are accurately translated into efficient manufacturing processes while helping production teams solve technical challenges and continuously improve operations.
You'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality products on time while maintaining the rigorous standards expected in the aerospace and defense industries.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Production Support
- Serve as the technical liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing
- Support machinists, fabricators, inspectors, planners, and supervisors with engineering-related questions
- Communicate engineering revisions, process improvements, and technical updates
- Help resolve production issues quickly while minimizing downtime
- Participate in cross-functional production and engineering meetings
Technical Documentation
- Review engineering drawings, CAD models, customer specifications, and purchase order requirements
- Verify revisions, materials, dimensions, tolerances, and special requirements
- Ensure production teams always have access to current documentation
- Support document control and configuration management
- Protect proprietary and export-controlled information
Engineering Change Management
- Coordinate engineering changes, deviations, waivers, and revision updates
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Planning to implement approved changes
- Maintain revision history and engineering traceability
- Ensure obsolete documentation is properly removed from production
Manufacturing & Process Support
- Investigate manufacturing issues involving tooling, fixtures, materials, tolerances, and machining processes
- Gather measurements, production data, and employee feedback for engineering review
- Collaborate with CNC Programming, Tooling, Quality, and Operations to identify practical solutions
- Escalate significant quality, safety, or production risks when necessary
- Verify corrective actions are successfully implemented
Manufacturing Planning
- Assist in developing manufacturing routers, bills of material, work instructions, and production plans
- Ensure engineering requirements are accurately reflected throughout the manufacturing process
- Support new product introductions, first article inspections, and process validation activities
Quality & Compliance
- Support AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality systems
- Participate in first article inspections, corrective actions, and root cause investigations
- Help maintain product traceability and configuration control
- Support customer and certification audits
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and communication
- Recommend improvements that reduce cost, improve quality, and increase efficiency
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with standardizing engineering documentation and workflows
What We're Looking For
We're searching for someone who enjoys collaborating across departments and solving manufacturing challenges while keeping production moving.
Preferred Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working with ERP systems, CAD viewers, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Machining, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Support, CNC Machining, Quality, or a related manufacturing role
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing operations
Work Environment
This position combines office work with regular interaction on the production floor. You'll work alongside highly skilled manufacturing professionals in a modern CNC machining environment featuring advanced multi-axis machining technology.
Employees must be able to safely work in an active manufacturing facility while following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
