Full Job Description

Matson Lumber Company is located in Brookville, PA. We are family-owned company that has been in business since 1957. Come join a positive and dynamic team.

Position Overview: The Controller is a detail-oriented individual that oversees financial operations across our 3 locations. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing accounting, leadership and analytical thinking skills. This individual will have a measurable impact on the organization and will embrace growth and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities

· Oversee financial reporting and ensure accounting accuracy

· Maintain organized financial statements

· Provide budgeting, forecasting, margin/profitability analysis as well as cost management strategies to support overall strategic planning

· Manage daily, weekly and monthly accounting workflows

· Enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness and make recommendations for improvements.

· Ensure financial and regulatory compliance, documentation control and audit readiness

· Maintain licensing, documentation, compliance and legal requirements

· Supervise and mentor staff

Position Qualifications

· BA/BS in Accounting, Business or related field required.

· 3+ years of relevant experience in an equivalent position

· 3+ in Excel and financial reporting tools required

· Advanced analytical and reconciliation skills required

· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability

· Proven leadership and communication skills and collaboration among teams

· CPA preferred

· Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles (GAAP preferred)

· Manufacturing accounting preferred

· On site work required - this is not a remote opportunity
