ACCOUNTING OFFICE MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Office Manager who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of leading an accounting office in a fast-paced dealership environment. The ideal candidate will have strong dealership accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage daily operations while supporting and developing the accounting team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee daily operations of the dealership accounting office
Supervise, support, and assist in the development of accounting office staff
Ensure accounting processes are completed accurately and within established deadlines
Review work for accuracy and ensure proper dealership accounting procedures are followed
Assist with month-end closing processes and preparation of financial information
Monitor schedules, reconciliations, and accounting schedules to ensure items are resolved timely
Oversee vehicle accounting, deal posting, and other dealership accounting functions
Assist with bank reconciliations, floorplan reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
Identify accounting discrepancies and work proactively to resolve issues
Ensure proper internal controls and company policies are followed
Work closely with the Controller and dealership management
Train and provide guidance to accounting team members
Promote accountability while maintaining a positive and respectful team environment
Assist team members when necessary to ensure deadlines and department goals are met
Communicate effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and customers
Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and efficiency within the accounting office

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
CDK experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes and procedures
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Willingness to take initiative and assist wherever needed
Dependable, proactive, and solution-oriented
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
