We are seeking a detail-oriented, trainable and engaging CPA to join our growing CPA firm in Southwest Washington. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing daily tax and accounting operations at the station level, ensuring high-quality client service, compliance, and contributing to the overall success of the station’s practice.
Position Overview: The Station Chief runs the office. The position is responsible for planning, operating, monitoring, delegating, and oversees the execution of the company’s tax and accounting policies for his/her respective Station. This position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a large portfolio of 300–400+ tax and accounting clients
- Review and prepare tax returns, including forms 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 with multi states ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Review financial statements, reconciliations, and other work prepared by staff accountants to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Review and sign engagement letters, discuss the nature and terms of assignments with clients and staff, and approve fees.
- Actively develop new business and expand services to existing clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Manage and mentor team members, providing technical guidance, coaching, guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure the team’s adherence to firm standards, policies, and deadlines.

Pay Rate: $76,000 to $88,000 DOE Annually (after 1st year review this position is scheduled for bonus pay)

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: This position requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field. An active CPA license in the state of Washington. Requires 2 years of experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: An active license to practice as a Washington State Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 4+ years of experience in public accounting. 1 year of supervisory experience.
Pay: $76,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
