Job Title: Risk Analyst
SUMMARY:
Assists the BSA Compliance Officer in preparing and analyzing daily reports and duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review, assess, and analyze daily monetary reports assigned by the BSA Compliance
Officer. Use mPowered and Verafin systems to record findings.
2. Assist BSA Compliance Officer in IRA management.
3. Assist BSA Compliance Officer with Debit card disputes.
4. Assist in the development and maintenance of BSA/AML policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
5. Conduct reviews and monitoring processes to ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations and detect any suspicious activity.
6. Assist in the identification, investigation, and reporting of potentially suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
7. Assist with the collection and analysis of data to identify trends or patterns indicative of money laundering or other illicit activities.
8. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices related to BSA/AML.
9. Assist with internal and external audits or examinations related to BSA/AML compliance.
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to BSA/AML activities.
11. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Ensure that the Credit Union is compliant with all state and federal regulations. Coordinate and communicate with departments and branches. Deadlines must be met. Complete internal compliance reviews, analyze, make improvements, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Keep appropriate records. Prepare reports and deliver them in a timely manner. Develop, communicate, and implement changes to policies and procedures. Maintain Library of policies and procedures. Inform management of any key issues. Respond to and resolve all issues that are reported.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school education. Specialized Bank Secrecy Act training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as board policies and regulations respecting deposits
(i.e., Regulation CC, D, DD, E, etc.) and the ability to write policy statements procedural and operating manuals and speak effectively before groups of employees or members of the credit union. Ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals external to the credit union whom the operations department may need to contact for information respecting operations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS).
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to operate a personal computer within a Windows environment. Need a full working knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
Must be able to use the credit union's core transaction processing system, debit card platform, and other systems related to managing all enterprise-wide depository activities. Such usage includes, but is not limited to, analysis of activity reports, retrieval of information, inputting data, updating information, special access to certain fields, and general maintenance of accounts and records.
Thorough knowledge of all credit union products, services, service delivery systems, and general operations. In addition, maintains knowledge of deposit products and programs of competing organizations in the marketplace.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
