Head Cook-Room 104 at Lakeside Inn

Position Overview

Room 104 at Lakeside Inn/Lakeside Landing is looking for a Head Cook to lead our kitchen with consistency, creativity, and high standards. This role oversees daily back‑of‑house operations, ensures quality execution of our menu, and helps maintain the welcoming, high‑energy atmosphere our guests love. The ideal candidate is organized, confident, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership: Direct and support all kitchen staff during service; set the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and efficiency.

Menu Execution: Prepare and cook all dishes to spec; maintain consistency across our menu for Room 104.

Inventory Management: Oversee ordering, receiving, rotation, and tracking of food and supplies; reduce waste and maintain cost awareness.

Food Safety: Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards; maintain a clean, organized kitchen at all times.

Training & Development: Train new cooks, cross‑train team members, and help build a strong, reliable kitchen crew.

Quality Control: Monitor food presentation, taste, and timing; uphold our reputation for great food and great atmosphere.

Collaboration: Work closely with management and FOH teams to ensure smooth service and communication.

Qualifications-

Culinary Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a line cook or lead cook role; supervisory experience preferred.

Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to handle high-volume service with composure.

Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide a team while maintaining high standards.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with grills, fryers, sauté stations, prep work, and kitchen equipment.

Communication: Clear, direct communication with BOH and FOH teams.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
