Full Job Description

Join FK Instrument’s growing team as a CMM Programmer/Inspector and help ensure the accuracy and performance of precision-machined components. This role combines advanced CMM programming, hands-on inspection, and collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing to deliver products that meet demanding customer requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develop, modify, and validate Zeiss Calypso CMM programs for new and existing parts.
Perform First Article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections.
Operate CMM equipment and generate accurate dimensional inspection reports.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, customer specifications, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements.
Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIs).
Document nonconforming conditions and assist with corrective actions.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
Support inspection process improvements, capability studies, and MSA activities.
Maintain inspection documentation and CMM program files.
Support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.

Qualifications

5+ years of Zeiss Calypso CMM programming or similar experience.
5+ years of mechanical inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills.
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections.
Knowledge of AS9100 quality requirements preferred.
Experience using various inspection equipment including CMMs, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauges, and optical comparators.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
