Full Job Description

Southeast Cherokee Construction, Inc. is a Federal General Contractor seeking a qualified Project Superintendent to support U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction projects.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, including at least five (5) years serving as a Superintendent on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and critical path schedules.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to successfully manage multiple subcontractors and project activities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with RMS (Resident Management System).

Active military installation access or the ability to obtain and maintain installation access and any required security credentials.

Experience managing federal construction projects valued at $5 million or greater.

Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Air Force, Navy, VA, or other federal construction projects.

Thorough knowledge of EM 385-1-1 requirements and demonstrated experience in hazard identification, safety management, and regulatory compliance.
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.

Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee construction projects from mobilization through final completion.
Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with project schedules, contract requirements, and quality standards.
Monitor daily project production and schedule performance.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, building codes, quality control standards, and project specifications.
Serve as the full-time on-site Superintendent responsible for overall project execution.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, government representatives, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
Review and monitor project schedules and resource allocation to achieve project milestones.
Prepare and submit accurate daily reports and weekly progress reports.
Communicate regularly with Project Management and Government representatives regarding project status, schedule updates, and project issues.
Maintain project documentation and support successful contract administration.
Coordinate with the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and Quality Control Manager (QCM) to ensure compliance with project safety and quality requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
