Full Job Description

Clinical LPN – Pain Management

Pinellas Pain and Palliative Care – Clearwater, FL

At Pinellas Pain and Palliative Care, our mission is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care with the highest level of professionalism and clinical excellence.

We are seeking a high-level Nurse LPN or experienced MA who can take ownership of daily operations, lead staff effectively, and serve as a reliable extension of the Medical Director.

NOTE: This is NOT an entry-level role.
We are looking for someone with proven clinical experience in a medical setting who can operate independently and reduce administrative burden on leadership.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

Directly support the Medical Director with daily operations and decision-making
Assist in day to day office function
Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and report directly to physicians.
Complete medication prior authorizations and necessary documentation
Ensure charts are accurate, complete, and compliant (EMR: Practice Fusion preferred)
Handle patient escalations professionally and efficiently
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and professionalism at all times
Identify inefficiencies and implement systems to improve workflow
Step in when needed to support front desk or clinical team
What We Need (Requirements – Non-Negotiable)
5+ years of medical office experience REQUIRED
Proven clinical nursing experience REQUIRED
Strong understanding of EMR systems (Practice Fusion preferred)
Ability to run a fast-paced clinic without constant supervision
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of medical terminology and outpatient workflows

Do not apply if you do not have verified management experience in a medical setting

Preferred

Licensed Nurse
Experience in pain management or specialty practice, controlled substances
Experience with medical intake, prior authorizations, PDMP workflows, and compliance-heavy environments

The clinic runs smoothly without constant oversight from the physician and Manager
Staff are accountable, efficient, and professional
Patient issues are handled quickly and appropriately
Systems are organized, scalable, and improving over time
