The Cleburne Chamber of Commerce has served the business community for decades by advocating for local businesses, promoting economic growth, and creating opportunities that strengthen our community. We are seeking an energetic, visionary leader who is passionate about business, community engagement, and organizational excellence to lead the Chamber into its next chapter.

The President & CEO serves as the chief executive officer of the Chamber and reports directly to the Board of Directors. This position is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, financial management, membership growth, staff leadership, and community engagement of the organization.

The successful candidate will be a visible leader in the community while building strong relationships with businesses, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, educators, and community stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities Leadership

Lead the Chamber's daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Build and maintain a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement strategic goals.
Provide transparent communication and regular reports to the Board.

Membership Development

Increase membership recruitment and retention.
Develop programs that provide measurable value to Chamber members.
Build strong relationships with existing members and prospective investors.
Identify new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

Community Engagement

Serve as the public face of the Chamber.
Represent the Chamber at community meetings, civic events, and business functions.
Collaborate with local government, educational institutions, economic development organizations, and nonprofit partners.
Advocate for policies and initiatives that support local businesses.

Financial Management

Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
Ensure responsible stewardship of Chamber resources.
Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.
Assist with fundraising, sponsorships, and revenue development.

Organizational Excellence

Recruit, develop, and lead Chamber staff.
Improve operational systems and organizational efficiencies.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

Five or more years of leadership or executive management experience.
Experience in business development, nonprofit management, economic development, chamber leadership, sales, marketing, or public administration is preferred.
Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Public speaking and presentation experience.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
