Industrial/Construction Project Manager

Magna Mechanical – Venus/Mansfield, TX

We are looking for an experienced Industrial/Construction Project Manager who can successfully manage projects from turnover through closeout while protecting profitability, schedules, customer relationships, cash flow, and company interests. This is a true Construction and Industrial Project Management position with responsibility for project financial performance, customer communication, contract administration, change order management, scheduling, procurement, and project execution.

Industrial/Construction Project Manager Job responsibilities include:

Managing mechanical construction projects from turnover through closeout.
Developing and maintaining project budgets.
Managing project schedules and milestones.
Forecasting project cash flow and profitability.
Managing customer relationships and project communications.
Coordinating field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Identifying, pricing, negotiating, and recovering change orders.
Managing RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation.
Reviewing contracts and protecting company contractual rights.
Proactively project risks and implementing corrective actions.
Work with Preconstruction staff to provide customers with job site assessments, application solutions and plans, equipment sizing, problem resolution, and follow-through.
Perform planning walkthroughs with safety, quality control, supervision, and subcontractors to develop the project plan.
Cultivate project plans that include schedules, cashflow, manpower, subcontractors, and vendors in accordance with the project budget.
Work with internal and external engineering to develop project drawings and documentation.
Manage subcontractors and ensure their subcontractor agreements and OSHA Logs are current.
Be in close contact with the Operations Team to ensure project planning, scheduling and forecast are communicated.
Send weekly labor updates and forecasts to Operations Manager.
Manage material cost and need by dates to ensure successful outcomes.
Work closely with customers to ensure Magna is meeting all expectations.
Identify and communicate with customers in the event of a change of scope.
Deliver all pertinent details of scope change to Estimating department for pricing.
Update budgets and schedules for any financial change to a project.
Perform multiple jobsite walkthroughs to ensure all promises are met.
Finalize closeout documents and prepare invoicing.
Provide technical and application assistance to customer base to assist in their design and specification requirements.
Develop a strong and sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
Lead business and technical projects and ensure that are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure all team members uphold the company's standards throughout each project's development and execution.

Industrial/Construction Project Manager Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry
Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience managing mechanical construction projects
Experience managing projects from turnover through closeout
Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and financial management
Experience managing change orders, customer communications, and contract administration
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Software Experience

Procore experience (highly desired)
Microsoft Office Suite
Adobe Acrobat (highly desired)
