Job Summary
The Technical Sales Manager–Cargometer Solutions is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth and expanding market share for Cargometer automated freight measurement systems, with a primary focus on end-user customers in logistics, freight forwarding, parcel, warehousing, and terminal operations.
This role owns full sales responsibility and manages the end-to-end commercial sales cycle, including opportunity identification, technical qualification, solution development, proposal and quotation, negotiation, and deal closure. The position requires a consultative, solutions based sales approach combined with strong technical understanding of freight handling processes, measurement systems, and data integration.
As a key commercial representative for Cargometer Solutions products, this position translates customer operational needs into viable, technically sound measurement solutions and partners closely with operations, installation, and service teams to ensure successful implementation and customer adoption

Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with regional and corporate growth strategies for Cargometer solutions
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with end-user customers in logistics, freight, parcel, and warehouse operations
- Lead the full commercial sales cycle, including pricing, quotation, negotiation, and order closure
- Achieve or exceed revenue, profitability, and strategic growth targets within the assigned territory
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customer decision-makers and key operational stakeholders
Customer & Application Engagement
- Analyze customer freight handling workflows in warehouses, terminals, and logistics operations to identify opportunities for automated freight measurement
- Assess site-specific operational conditions to determine feasibility of Cargometer system implementation
- Translate customer operational requirements into practical measurement concepts aligned with materials handling and flow processes
- Conduct customer site visits and/or remote assessments to evaluate technical and operational requirements
Solution Definition & Technical Responsibilities
- Define measurement concepts, system layouts, and overall technical solutions based on customer operations
- Specify required system components, including frames, sensors, cameras, power supply, and network infrastructure
- Document installation conditions through measurements, photos, and technical specifications
- Define data integration requirements and coordinate system integrations with customer WMS, TMS, or ERP systems
- Ensure technical feasibility, clear scope definition, and alignment between sold solution and delivered systems
Project Handover & Deployment Support
- Lead structured handover from Sales to Operations and Installation teams
- Support installation planning, including timelines, site readiness, and required resources
- Provide on-site or remote support during installation, system start-up, testing, and calibration as needed
- Participate in customer acceptance testing and ensure delivered solution meets agreed performance expectations
- Support post-installation growth opportunities, including system extensions, upgrades, and additional site deployments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Industrial / Mechanical / Automation Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field)
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or solution-based selling, preferably in industrial automation, or logistics technology
- Experience working directly with end-user customers in logistics, warehouse, parcel, or industrial environments
- Strong ability to translate operational workflows and business requirements into practical technical solutions
- Working knowledge of sensors, measurement systems, automation technologies, and industrial IT integration concepts (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP interfaces)
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with long lead times
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including experience engaging operational and executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a territory-based role while managing multiple concurrent opportunities and priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative, customer-focused mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer sites (approximately 40–60%)
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
