About the Opportunity

Concentric Corporation is partnering with a respected public accounting and advisory firm seeking a Principal Manager – Tax Lead to provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and long-term direction for an established practice.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, a mentor to staff, and a key leader in the continued evolution of the practice.

Position Overview

The Principal Manager – Tax Lead will oversee complex tax planning and advisory engagements while helping guide the future growth of the office. This individual will play a critical role in developing staff, strengthening client relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and collaborating with firm leadership on strategic growth opportunities.

This position is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who wants the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, develop future leaders, and help shape the future of a successful practice.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead technical tax resource for clients and internal team members
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and other pass-through entities
Review complex tax returns and planning strategies while ensuring accuracy and quality standards
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and community partners
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and tax professionals at all levels
Delegate responsibilities effectively while establishing clear expectations and accountability
Collaborate with firm leadership to support long-term growth initiatives and strategic planning
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and service offerings
Support the continued evolution of the practice through innovation, leadership, and operational excellence
Serve as a visible representative of the firm within the local business community
Facilitate a smooth transition of client relationships and leadership responsibilities as part of the firm’s succession planning efforts

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.

Certifications: CPA designation required.

Years of Experience: 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.

Requirements for Position

Extensive experience with individual, partnership, and pass-through entity taxation
Strong tax planning and advisory background beyond compliance work
Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients and business owners
Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
Strong delegation, coaching, and mentorship skills
Experience building relationships with clients, referral partners, and community organizations
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive accountability while fostering a collaborative team environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and continuous improvement
