Job Responsibilities

This position is located at the BHDD - Office of Mental Health, Anderson Mental Health Clinic, 1 Linwa Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.

As an Administrative Coordinator I, you will provide leadership and oversight to all Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Mental Health Center (AOPMHC) administrative functions of Reception/Front Office, Patient Intake and Switchboard for the 4 clinic sites within the AOP catchment area. You will serve as the direct supervisor to all Administrative Assistant/Office Managers.

Responsibilities for the Administrative Coordinator I -

Provide leadership and oversight to all AOPMHC administrative functions of Reception/Front Office, Patient Intake and Switchboard for the 4 clinic sites within the AOP catchment area. This oversight will include the implementation of standardized daily operational policies and procedures that meet the agency and center requirements.
Serve as direct supervision of all Administrative Assistant/Office Managers to include monthly supervision meetings. Provide indirect supervisor to administrative employees in the absence of the Office Manager.
Provide or ensure back-up coverage for all assigned areas. Visit all sites of the catchment area a minimum of one time per month.
Work collaboratively with agency and center program leadership to ensure ongoing improvement within the assigned administrative functions.
Provide and ensure training opportunities for assigned employees.
Monitor and ensure that quality customer service is provided at the administrative level with stakeholders to increase knowledge of prevention, treatment and recovery services. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability to include collections, patient registration, engagement, and Quality Assurance.
Participate in clinical staffing meetings. Serve on assigned committees to include Corporate Compliance and Safety.
Ensure data collection tools are used to assist with reducing no show and follow-up rates.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge of policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to the specific administrative function.
Knowledge of governmental fiscal and personnel procedures, practices and policies.
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of subordinate personnel.
Ability to communicate effectively.
This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, climb, drive from location to location, lift and file.
This position could be considered essential. Therefore, you may be asked to report to work even if the Center is closed in the event of an emergency.
