URGENT HIRING – Florida Psychiatrist (MD)

Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Evaluation Provider | 1099 Independent Contractor

Chrysalis Health is actively seeking Florida-licensed Psychiatrists (MD/DO) to provide psychiatric evaluations for youth involved with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

This highly flexible, evaluation-focused opportunity is ideal for psychiatrists seeking meaningful work without the demands of ongoing medication management, treatment planning, or caseload responsibilities. Whether you're in private practice, retired, semi-retired, working part-time, or looking to supplement your current income, this role offers professional autonomy and a rewarding way to make an impact on the lives of vulnerable youth.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and diagnostic evaluations for youth referred through the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
Review medical records, psychiatric history, court documentation, and collateral information
Develop diagnostic impressions and provide treatment recommendations
Complete clear, concise, and court-ready evaluation reports

Evaluation Locations

Psychiatrists have the flexibility to conduct evaluations in a variety of professional settings, including their own private practice office, select Chrysalis Health office locations, or onsite at Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facilities, allowing providers to integrate evaluations seamlessly into their existing practice and schedule.

This flexibility allows providers to choose evaluation settings that best fit their schedules and geographic preferences.

Compensation

Highly competitive per-evaluation compensation
Independent Contractor (1099)
Reliable referral flow and ongoing evaluation opportunities
Potential access to additional evaluation services based on expertise and availability

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Florida license as a Psychiatrist (MD)
Board Certified
Experience with psychiatric assessments, forensic evaluations, court-related evaluations, or juvenile populations preferred
Ability to conduct in-person evaluations
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, report writing, and documentation skills
Professional, objective, and timely completion of evaluations
