Our escrow officer performs advanced duties related to all facets of escrow processing. They are required to exercise extreme independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process.

Two office locations available: Cleveland, OH and Canfield, OH. In person preferred, hybrid optional.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews file checklist and notes against documentation received in file and storage system
Reads reviews title commitments and surveys to determine insurability
Enters data into the title database, generates the necessary documentation to close
Reads and reviews purchase agreements, title commitments and other closing instructions
Completes the real estate closing process; ensures compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements, and other written instructions
Works to resolve title issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments et al.)
Prepares “markup” of title commitment to identify liens, requirements & issues
Prepares drafts and final closing statements for closing, verifies policy requirements, achieves approvals from Lender, Agents, Buyers and Sellers
Conducts closings with buyers, sellers, lenders, and on occasion attorneys
Reviews all organizational documents for buyers and sellers
Finalize disbursement, prepares wire instructions and closes out the file
Prepares final policy and/or works with others to finalize

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years applicable experience, or equivalent experience
Certificates, licenses and registrations preferred: Title License, Notary Public License
Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, Title Production Software

Base salary starts at $65,000 - $85,000, depending on the applicant’s experience. Full benefits including a 401(k), paid vacation, and health insurance pursuant to company policies. Additional compensation opportunities depending on company and personnel performance through an annual incentive plan.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
