About Conroe Wood Products

Conroe Wood Products is a wholesale supplier of building materials specializing in treated wood, timbers, poles, piling, and related products. We serve contractors, distributors, and industrial customers throughout the region and are focused on reliable supply, competitive pricing, and strong customer relationships.

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven Sales & Business Development Manager to grow our customer base, strengthen vendor relationships, support inside sales, and own marketing efforts. This hands-on role reports directly to the owner and combines sales, marketing, and inventory support. The ideal candidate is comfortable closing deals, building new business, and using digital tools to generate leads and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Drive inside sales activity: respond to inquiries, prepare and close quotes, and convert opportunities into orders.
Lead business development efforts by identifying, prospecting, and securing new customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors to expand product offerings and improve supply reliability.
Own company marketing, including social media content and campaigns as well as email marketing initiatives.
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, identifying fast-moving and high-potential products, and recommending items to stock.
Collaborate with the owner on pricing, customer strategy, and growth priorities.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and pipeline activity.

Qualifications

Proven experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or business development (preferably in building materials, lumber, wholesale distribution, or a related industrial sector).
Demonstrated ability to generate new business and close quotes.
Hands-on experience with social media marketing and email marketing tools.
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities (sales, marketing, and light inventory support).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while reporting to ownership.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work on-site in the Conroe / Willis area.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the treated wood, timber, pole, or building materials industry.
Familiarity with inventory management and product selection for wholesale operations.
Track record of using CRM, email marketing platforms, and social media for lead generation.
Existing network of contractors, distributors, or vendors in the Texas market.
