We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support installation, service, and maintenance of our equipment nationwide.
Position Overview
The Commercial Laundry Equipment Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex automated laundry systems at customer facilities across the United States.
This role requires deep technical expertise, strong independence in the field, and the ability to deliver professional, customer-focused service while working on highly automated industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and optimize commercial laundry equipment at customer sites nationwide.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency service calls.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in automated equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic drawings.
- Support customers with technical training and operational guidance.
- Accurately document all service activity, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Identify potential service needs or equipment upgrades and communicate findings internally.
- Maintain a professional presence while working in customer facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial or industrial laundry equipment.
- Experience with systems such as tunnel washers, washer-extractors, dryers, ironers, conveyors, or material handling systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in industrial equipment.
- Experience diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system faults.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Proven ability to work independently in a field service environment.
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% nationwide with frequent overnight stays.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one).
- Must reside within 60 minutes of a major U.S. commercial airport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing OEM equipment such as JENSEN, Milnor, Kannegiesser, Lavatec, Chicago Dryer, Ellis, or similar systems.
- PLC troubleshooting experience in industrial environments.
- Background in industrial automation or equipment commissioning.
