Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to lead and support our Prep Department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating press brakes while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
The ideal candidate will have strong press brake experience, leadership abilities, and a commitment to mentoring team members while driving continuous improvement throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities
Press Brake Operation & Production
- Program, set up, and operate press brake equipment
- Perform precision bending and forming operations according to customer specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, process sheets, and work instructions
- Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product accuracy
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Utilize white samples and production documentation to verify product specifications
- Operate additional metal forming equipment including shears, brakes, and straightening equipment as needed
- Maintain production schedules and support department efficiency goals
Leadership & Team Development
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing team members
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment
- Assist with setting departmental goals and achieving production targets
- Support employee development and continuous learning initiatives
- Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all products meet customer and company quality requirements
- Inspect completed work before it moves to the next stage of production
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and waste reduction programs
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and workflow processes
- Support efforts to improve uptime, quality, and overall manufacturing performance
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and accountability
- Report hazards, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Practice proper use of machinery, tools, and equipment
- Support all company Health & Safety initiatives and programs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical training or manufacturing-related education preferred
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience required
- Previous press brake operating experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills
- Ability to read and use measuring devices accurately
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and best practices
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screenings

Physical & Work Requirements

- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed
