Are you someone who enjoys building things, working with your hands, leading a team, and seeing a project come together from start to finish? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated CNC Operator / Production Manager to join our team.
This is a hands-on leadership position. We need someone who can run CNC equipment, understand the production process, and also step up and lead the shop. You’ll help organize daily production, keep jobs moving, solve problems as they come up, and make sure the team has what they need to get the job done right and on time.
If you’re dependable, organized, mechanically minded, and enjoy being the person others can count on, we’d love to talk to you!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Set up, operate, program, and monitor CNC equipment.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and production plans and turn them into finished products.
- Make CNC programming adjustments to improve efficiency and material usage.
- Check measurements and make sure finished pieces meet our quality standards.
- Troubleshoot problems and handle routine machine maintenance.
- Manage the daily workflow of the shop and keep production moving.
- Organize and prioritize jobs based on production schedules and ship dates.
- Lead, guide, and work alongside the production team.
- Assign daily tasks and make sure employees understand what needs to be completed.
- Keep the team focused, productive, and working together.
- Monitor the quality and progress of jobs throughout production.
- Identify production problems early and find practical solutions.
- Make sure materials, equipment, and information are ready when the team needs them.
- Communicate with management about production schedules, delays, equipment needs, and job progress.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Look for better, faster, and smarter ways to improve production and reduce waste.
- Most importantly, lead by example and take pride in producing quality work.
What We're Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who can be both a skilled CNC operator and a strong leader. You should be comfortable making decisions, organizing people and projects, and jumping in to help wherever needed
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Previous CNC machine and programming experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisor, or management experience in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production workflow and scheduling.
- Ability to lead a team while also being willing to work alongside them.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong basic shop math skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and meet deadlines.
- A dependable, positive, team-first attitude.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
- Experience with CAM programming, Fanuc controls, SolidWorks, CAD, cabinet manufacturing, millwork, or other manufacturing equipment is a plus.
The Kind of Manager We Want
We’re not looking for someone who simply gives orders. We want a hands-on Manager who leads from the floor, knows what is happening in production, communicates with the team, and is willing to jump in when needed.
You should be someone who can hold people accountable while still building a strong team environment. We want a leader who notices problems, finds solutions, keeps everyone moving in the same direction, and takes ownership of getting the job completed correctly and on time.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than just operate a machine. You’ll have the chance to use your CNC experience, take on leadership responsibility, and have a real impact on the success of our production team.
If you enjoy a fast-moving shop, working with machinery, solving problems, leading people, and creating quality products, this could be a great fit for you.
