Auto Body Repair Estimator (DRP-Focused)Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Auto Body Repair Estimator to manage collision repair files from initial estimate through final delivery, billing, and payment recovery.
The ideal candidate will prepare accurate estimates with minimal supplements, ensure prompt teardown and parts ordering, and coordinate effectively with customers, insurance companies, technicians, vendors, and parts personnel. The Estimator will take ownership of each assigned repair to ensure timely, high-quality completion in accordance with DRP, customer, company, and OEM standards.
This position requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple repair files simultaneously, resolve issues proactively, and maintain accountability for each repair from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, complete, and DRP-compliant repair estimates using CCC ONE.
- Manage assigned repair files to ensure timely, high-quality repairs, accurate final billing, and payment collection.
- Monitor outstanding balances and actively pursue payment recovery and accounts receivable, with a goal of keeping receivables under 60 days.
- Coordinate prompt vehicle teardown, identify repair requirements thoroughly, minimize supplements, and obtain insurance approvals promptly.
- Ensure parts are ordered promptly and monitor pricing, availability, and delivery to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate daily with customers, insurance adjusters, technicians, vendors, and parts personnel to maintain repair quality, production efficiency, and cycle-time objectives.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues involving approvals, parts, production, customers, or insurance companies that could delay repairs or delivery.
- Provide a daily progress report to the Manager or Shop Supervisor covering repair status, pending approvals, parts delays, customer concerns, scheduled deliveries, and production issues.
- Conduct a final quality review before delivery to ensure repairs meet company, customer, DRP, and OEM standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as an Auto Body Repair Estimator, preferably in a DRP-focused collision repair facility.
- Thorough knowledge of insurance estimating, supplement negotiation, DRP requirements, repair documentation, and OEM repair procedures.
- Strong proficiency with CCC ONE and CCC Management System required.
- I-CAR Gold Class experience/certification preferred; ASE certification is a plus.
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, negotiation, and multitasking skills.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize multiple repair files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Background check required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
