Position Overview
Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, building and bridge parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
- Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
- Assembles parts by bolting.
- Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
- Cleaning of work areas.
- Maintain welding equipment and supplies.
- Completing daily time sheets, QC inspection sheets, and any other paperwork required for the area.
- Loading and unloading materials, driving forklift, and the ability to lift and /or move up to 100 lbs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Monday–Friday
- Weekend availability may be required
