SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Parts Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of parts and supplies needed for airport operations and maintenance. This role involves organizing and cataloging parts, processing orders and receipts, and ensuring the availability of necessary items for various airport departments. You will also conduct regular inventory audits, updates inventory management systems, and work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts. Additionally, you must adhere to budget constraints and assist in identifying cost-effective procurement solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for airport equipment and vehicles
- Record and track stock levels, orders, and deliveries
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of parts and equipment
- Inspect and verify incoming parts and supplies for quality and accuracy
- Organize and maintain the parts storage area for easy access and inventory control
- Issue parts and tools to maintenance and operational staff as required
- Update and maintain inventory management system or database
- Process purchase orders and invoices in coordination with the finance department
- Assist in preparing and managing the budget for parts and supplies
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to understand parts requirements
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the storage and handling of parts
- Handle returns of defective or incorrect parts to suppliers
- Provide support in inventory audits and stocktaking activities
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the parts supply chain
- Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Experience in inventory or parts management, preferably in an aviation or similar technical environment
- Proficiency in inventory management software and computerized record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
- Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
