ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Position reports to: Production Supervisor

Job summary

Function:
Solder, rework or assess the electronic components of manufactured items per production work orders and/or procedures, drawings, and schematics.

General Responsibilities:

Participate in required meetings.
Promote unity and positive morale.
Assure cleanliness of working areas.
Complete quality documentation using readable penmanship.
Able to lift 30 pounds minimum on a regular basis.
Understand and obey all safety requirements.
Ability to clock in and out of timekeeping system correctly.
Social skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris.
Working knowledge of Employee Handbook.
Able to understand and communicate in English.
Proficient in written, oral and interpersonal communication.
Ability to work in teams and independently.
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Operate assembly line hand tools.
Completing paperwork daily related to assembly line.
Assemble products or components of manufactured items.
Reject products outside of specifications per NCMR procedure.

Qualifications

High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience in related industry preferred.

Training Requirements:

All training courses as identified by the Training Matrix must be complete 90 days after hire.
Any other training identified on the Individual Development Plan.

Requirements:

Experience:

Experience using soldering and other special electronics assembly tools preferred.
Use of multimeters, scopes and other electronic measuring tools preferred.

Skills:

Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
Working knowledge of the Company’s traveler (router, bill of materials, etc.).
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measure.
Ability to use soldering and other special electronics assembly tools.
Ability to use multimeters, scopes and other electronic measuring tools preferred.
Corrected 20/20 eyesight necessary to assemble small board parts.
