Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Supervisor/Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless food production, uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, and inspire your team to deliver culinary excellence. Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and mentorship to foster a motivated and efficient team.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations across all kitchen areas.
Participate in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, inventory control, and cost management to optimize food quality and profitability.
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, manage food handling procedures, and control waste to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Support the dietary department by preparing specialized meals that meet dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines.
Lead shift management duties including scheduling, delegating tasks, and resolving operational issues swiftly.
Uphold excellent food service management practices by ensuring prompt serving times and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Experience

Proven culinary experience with a strong background in casual dining environments.
Demonstrated supervising experience within busy restaurant or catering settings.
Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, HACCP standards, and health regulations.
Experience in inventory management, cost control, and kitchen management systems.
Background in managing teams as a chef with leadership skills that motivate staff toward excellence.
Knowledge of catering operations, restaurant management practices, and hospitality industry standards.
Skilled in food handling techniques including cooking, food preparation, serving, and bartending when applicable.
Ability to oversee dietary requirements while maintaining high-quality culinary standards across all service types.
