About Wasted* PBC:

Wasted* provides Potties with Purpose — we bring sustainability to sanitation and demonstrate that human waste is a valuable resource. We offer urine-diverting and traditional portable restrooms, and we recover a portion of the water and nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) from human waste for beneficial end use.

Job Overview:

Wasted* is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Outside Territory Sales Manager to grow our customer base and strengthen relationships throughout an assigned territory. This position is responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and serving as the primary face of Wasted* in the field.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys meeting customers in person, identifying opportunities, and helping clients find the right sanitation solutions for construction sites, special events, municipalities, commercial properties, and other industries. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage a sales territory independently.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve monthly and annual revenue goals.
Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, site visits, and community engagement.
Conduct in-person sales meetings with prospective and existing customers.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, event organizers, municipalities, property managers, and other key customers.
Respond promptly to inbound leads and convert opportunities into new business.
Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing within company guidelines, and close sales.
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and pipeline management using Navusoft and other company software.
Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional customer service.
Conduct regular territory reviews and sales forecasting with management.
Represent Wasted* at trade shows, community events, and industry networking opportunities.
Stay informed about competitors, market trends, and customer needs.
Assist with customer issue resolution to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Support other areas of the business as needed, including occasional field visits, yard support, or special events.

Qualifications:

2+ years of outside sales, territory management, or business development experience preferred.
Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Comfortable working independently and managing a geographic territory.
Experience using CRM software and Google Workspace.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory daily.
Experience in construction, environmental services, waste management, portable sanitation, or related industries is a plus.
Passion for sustainability and Wasted*'s mission is highly valued.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to contribute wherever needed.
