The Admission department at Saint Michael’s College invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Admission. The College seeks a dynamic, experienced professional to join its Admission Leadership Team. This role is instrumental in shaping and executing enrollment strategies while ensuring operational excellence across recruitment and application processes. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, student-centered environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to ethical and inclusive enrollment practices.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and supervise admission counselors, including onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development
- Develop and maintain training programs to ensure consistent recruitment practices and application review standards
- Support a positive, accountable team culture; serve as operational lead in the Director’s absence
- Represent the College at events and professional associations in alignment with its mission and values
- Manage resources responsibly, including accurate expense tracking and sound financial judgment
- Ensure data compliance, confidentiality, and integrity across admissions operations
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion while supporting the College’s mission and Catholic heritage
- Contribute to territory strategy, recruitment planning, and market analysis
- Support and implement recruitment travel strategies; prepare counselors for territory management
- Manage a limited territory or specialty population as assigned
- Participate in recruitment travel, outreach, and admissions events
- Guide students and families through the admissions process, especially complex cases
- Utilize CRM (Slate) to track activity, ensure data accuracy, and support data-driven decisions
- Assist with planning and execution of admissions events
- Oversee consistent and equitable application review processes
- Review applications and make admission decisions for assigned populations
- Collaborate on refining admissions criteria and evaluation rubrics
- Train counselors on application review standards and best practices
- Monitor workflow to ensure timely processing of applications
- Serve as Slate CRM super user and support system optimization and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness
- Analyze data to inform recruitment strategies and assess outreach results
- Stay current on admissions trends and industry best practices
- Participate in institutional committees and support broader college initiatives
This position will require regular work hours, as well as occasional evening, weekend, and holiday times.

Requirements:
Applicants should have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of work experience in college admission or related field
- Demonstrated experience in supervising, training, or managing staff
- Experience with enrollment strategy, data analysis, or admissions systems strongly preferred
- Exhibits highly effective and compelling written, oral, and presentation skills
- Reads and interprets a wide range of information
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Slate Technolutions experience highly desirable
