Planet Powersports has an immediate opportunity in our parts and service department for a parts and accessory associate. Previous Auto, RV, or marine experience encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and serve every walk-in or phone-in customer courteously and promptly.
- Answer questions and assist customers in identifying and obtaining parts and accessories they need.
- Make recommendations for parts and accessories that will maximize customer vehicle utility and enjoyment.
- Locate and source parts from available internal and external sources.
- Create repair orders and assist customers with scheduling necessary in-house services.
- Receive, process and ensure the timely delivery of ordered parts.
- Diligent and timely follow up with customers for all inquiries and orders.
- Handle customer communication regarding returns and/or problems with orders. Issue return authorizations and maintain related records.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Previous parts counter experience puts you at the top of the list
- Previous sales and customer service experience needed
- Basic powersports experience
- Mechanical experience/aptitude extremely helpful
- Basic math and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well and coordinate with multiple departments

What began as Halls Off-Road Equipment in 1977 began to grow into a powersports business by satisfying the needs of the local area for custom truck accessories and pre-owned motorcycles and used snowmobiles in the winter. After years of success and adding new lines like Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki, Victory, Polaris, Ski-doo, Star Motorcycles and Can-Am the store grew and continues to fuel and satisfy the passion of Michigan riders. In 2001 Planet Powersports moved into the familiar and expansive Farm & Fleet store when it moved to its new location down the road. Today Planet Powersports’ facility covers 8 acres with a 40,000 Sq.Ft. showroom and boasts an off-road test track.
